I thought it was Kong. To me, it seems like he's too big in comparison with the trees to be an actual gorilla. But it sure does read!

Great image! I definitely see it as a giant resting in the woods with his back turned against us. Very interesting piece with good story and mood.

P.S. I love the little tilt of his head. It makes him alive and you can sense that he's thinking or wondering about something.

Hey, Mr. Street! I think your roomate needs his eyes checked 'cause that reads great! And I agree with hans, the tilt to the head really makes it something.

And thanks for stopping by my blog while I was "away".

reads very well bro!.. but i like the way you got the edges frayed in the first post. It looked cool how the beast just blended into the bg. The mood in this one, however, i likes better. Im torn between two paintings... AHHHH!

I think it reads. It's just the darkness of the greys and blacks in the middle of the gorilla that throws the viewer's eye off a bit. Would love to see more of this style of work. Really nice stuff. Worth doing more of. Take care.

I think it reads. I think it is just the darker grey/blacks in the middle of the gorilla throws off your where the view should be consentrating on. All that said, it is really nice work and I would love to see you experiment more with it. Take care

It took just a moment but it reads; it would make a great quick story sketch, nice watercolour treatment again.
